File extension NLS identifies a Code Page National Language Support File. This file consists of a table that is used in translating text into other languages such as Hebrew or Cyrillic or other alphabets. It is a National Language Support file on Windows 98/NT/2000/XP and was also previously used in MS-DOS. Another program that is identified by the NLS extension is the Virus W32/Aman-B and others. W32/Alman-B is a network propagating virus that infects all of the system?s executable files. It also has rootkit features and capabilities.
